Mobility visit

In March 2011 the group of Valakupiai Rehabilitation Centre's (VRC) specialists has visited Bartimeus in the Netherlands. Five days visit was organized in the framework of Leonardo da Vinci mobility projects.
During the visit the specialists have been introduced to the Dutch social inclusion and rehabilitation system for people with visual and hearing impairments, to the processes in various departments of Bartimeus, among it the vocational training centre REA-college, day care Centre in Doorn, employment office for blind and deaf, "Werkpad", sheltered workshop for the blind "Proson" and etc.
As Lithuanian specialists had a particular interest in the vocational diagnosis and training of persons with visual impairments they have acquired more skills in vocational skills assessment, vocational guidance, vocational training and employment of people with visual impairments.
As the feedback from the specialists shows the visit was very interesting and fruitful.
