“Development of Vocational Rehabilitation Services Infrastructure in Kaunas Region”
The aim of the project - to improve accessibility to vocational rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in Kaunas region by strategic and systematic developing the infrastructure of vocational rehabilitation services in Kaunas.
Main outputs of the project
- By using the EU funds there is going to be restored 1582,39 sq.m. building with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, testing rooms, a canteen and 50 stationary living rooms for people with severe disabilities.
- Purchased tools and equipment required for provision of vocational rehabilitation services. After the implementation of the project there will be ensured the accessibility of high quality vocational rehabilitation services for severe and moderate disabilities in Kaunas town and region and this will help to increase the employment and integration to the society of these people.
- Also there will be employed 30 new staff members and the number or vocational rehabilitation receivers will reach 75.
This project is a continuous to previous project "Development of Vocational Rehabilitation Services Infrastructure for People with Disabilities in Lithuania". Since the end of 2008 people with disabilities can get vocational and social rehabilitation services in Kaunas division.
Project duration: 29/09/2009 - 31/12/2011.
